The Right Direction Home

The Right Direction provides resources to increase effective communication and engagement between behaviour support practitioners and NDIS participants.

This website includes practical resources and tools, many of which are customisable, that support NDIS practitioners and participants throughout the behaviour support planning and implementation process.

The Right Direction resources were developed following extensive research and a national consultation and co-design process with:

  • behaviour support practitioners,
  • other service providers, and – importantly,
  • people with disability.

Using these resources will help practitioners meet the NDIS regulations and standards governing behaviour support and increase participant quality of life. This includes upholding all participants’ human rights to have choice and control and decreasing the use of regulated restrictive practices.

Find resources to underpin inclusive, positive practice in behaviour support planning.

Many of our resources apply at all stages of the behaviour support process.

If your search results appear similar, despite selecting different stages, please scroll down to see the differences between the retrieved resources.
